Attorney David Zwisler will present on Colorado’s Healthy Families and Workplaces Act, which mandates paid sick leave and (now) public health emergency leave.  Starting January 1, 2021, for employers with 16 or more employees, and starting January 1, 2022, for all employers, the act requires employers to provide paid sick leave to their employees, accrued at one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.  He will also present on the pay transparency requirement of the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act which went into effect on January 1, 2021,​ and​ applies to all entities with at least one employee in Colorado, including public bodies, schools and private individuals.

CPP and FPC Testing Dates:  September 5, 2020 – September 10, 2021 Examinations are based on U.S. Federal Rules and Regulations that apply to payroll processing on January 1, 2020.  The year 2020 Form W-2 will be applicable for examinations beginning September 5, 2020 through September 10, 2021.

New!  The American Payroll Association has announced that In-home Examinations will be available!

  • Official NCPA study group.

  • Study Guide – 2020 Payroll Source textbook (recommended, not required; prior year texts may be used).

  • RCH credits will be offered to all Teachers and Mentors. (Attend all six sessions & receive 45.5 RCH credits approved by the American Payroll Association.

  • Weekly chapter presentations of material, calculations, training and mentoring via Google Classrooms.

  • Cost: NCPA & CO APA Affiliated Members: $125

  • Non-members: $150

2021 Monthly Business/Education Meetings

The cost of your first NCPA chapter visit is only $10!  Subsequent meeting costs will be $20.00 for Colorado APA chapter members.  The Non-member cost is $30.00.  An R.S.V.P. is required to Monthly meetings will be held virtually until it is safe to meet again in person again.  The Business Education meetings will start promptly at 11:30 a.m.  Speakers will present from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.  On-line, remote participation costs are the same as above.  Please request a Microsoft Teams invitation in your R.S.V.P.

Chapter Membership
