“Data Analytics: The Collision of Payroll Data and Reports”
Analytics are the key to the success of 21st century payroll professionals. How can analytics be used to tell a successful payroll story? What payroll and non-payroll related data is required to develop useful payroll analytics? How can analytical tools be used to improve a payroll department’s effectiveness? These questions and more will be answered in this presentation.
James Medlock, CPP is a Payroll Educator in every sense of the word. He is the owner of Medlock & Associates and is a Payroll Consultant.
Jim was an employee of American Payroll Association, now called PayrollOrg, for over 25 years. Very fortunately for NCPA, when he retired, he and his wife Trish settled in Fort Collins, CO and rejoined our chapter and is currently NCPA’s Government Liaison Official.
Jim actually helped start our chapter over two decades ago and was also very active in Denver’s chapter through the years. Jim’s vast payroll experience has touched countless lives and although he’s retired, he still teaches classes for PayrollOrg and is a member of PayrollOrg’s Speakers Bureau. Jim’s name can actually be found in the forward of the Payroll Source text which is widely used by payroll professionals around the globe. Jim has sat on just about every PayrollOrg and government payroll-related committee you can think of. He has also written questions for the CPP/FPC exams.
Among the many payroll awards Jim has received from PayrollOrg & the Denver chapter through the years, he was named NCPA’s Payroll Professional of the Year in 2022. Jim also received NCPA’s Meritorious Member Award the past three years for the many education presentations he’s provided to our chapter, for his assistance to members, and for teaching at our chapter certification study groups through the years.
